ATTENTION:
MP3 conversion with this app may take some time to complete. Please be patient as the conversion process uses a lot of memory from the device (you can't expect pc performance from a mobile device). Voice is saved as MP3after recording to provide maximum control of the sound.
I'm a music producer and certified audio engineer, and many artists I come in contact with want to record their freestyles so they can hear them back. Others want a quick way to practice their verse or hook before hitting the studio and wish they could record a scratch vocal to help them perfect the delivery. Well after a lot of hard work I'm proud to introduce this app to Android Market for these artists.
FreeStyle Recorder HDA by Hip Hip Hop Beat Factory is a simple yet effective single track recorder that allows you to load any beat or song from your phone's SD card, then it plays the beat while recording your vocals through the phone mic. You can then listen to the vocals you've recorded with the beat playing at the same time. This app is a mini vocal preproduction studio that's with you at all times, whenever you feel inspired, and save the final mix to MP3.
How to use FreeStyle Recorder:
1. Load your beat/instrumental to the program. When you touch the Load MP3 a window will open showing you all MP3 files available on your SD card. Simply choose one and it will load. You can press play if you wish to hear the MP3 before recording.
2. Touch the Record button to start recording. Your voice will be recorded through the device's microphone as the instrumental plays. You can adjust the microphone's input sensitivity/volume before recording as well.
3. Press the Stop button when done you are done recording. Please wait while your vocal recording is saved to a temporary file on your SD card. (FreeStyleRecorder/temp) ATTENTION: This may take some time depending on the length of your recording. Please be Patient.
4. Press Stop button once the recording is saved to continue. You may now press play to listen back to your recording. If the recording is not in time to the instrumental there are latency adjustment sliders to correct this. if you wish you can also export the vocal recording to a WAV file if you wish to bring it into your favorite desktop computer audio software for futher mixing and editing.

during this process. All MP3 files are saved on the root of the SD card (FreeStyleRecorder/SavedSongs. WAV files are saved in a folder called "FreeStyleRecorder/WavExports" on the SD card. Keep in mind this software may perform differently depending on the speed of the device. Conversion times may be longer for some users. For best recording results record in a quiet place and use headphones to minimize sound bleed into the device's mic.
